The Reality of Riding with a Pro
This is not Ivan, this is a friend of Ivan, who is a Cat 2 Masters rider who is going to answer a question many of you might have....And that is, "What is like to train with a Pro, who has won about every major race the US has to offer?" (A reminder here of the palmares, Goodwill and PanAmerican games Golds, Stages in the Tours of California, Georgia, and Missouri, almost every NRC Crit and many, many 1 day Road Races.)
Well, it is kinda difficult to put into words so, like they say a picture is worth a thousand of them. So I will use 2 pics and save 2 thousand words.
Thanks for Reading.
Oh, if you can't readily see, that is me in ICE WATER for 12 minutes.

A New Day and New Legs!
Well well, my legs are coming around and feeling good! I did a nice and fast 4 1/2 hours with 4x10 minute, 53x11-12 gear intervals at 45-50kph and let me tell you, I felt fantastic. Yes, today I showed "her" (my bike) who's the real Boss around here.
And now I'm sitting in my garage doing what I love, drinking a very cool Coke, aaaaaaawwww american dream :)
Until Next Time!

The Bug and the Windshield.
Consortes, I have to admit that after close to a year off the bike, I knew I would have days like today. My Franco bike, plain and simple, kicked my ass. The Missile left the house Locked and Loaded but shortly thereafter, MISFIRED! Como dicen la gente, somedays you are the bug and somedays the windshield. Well, today I was definitely the bug.
Tomorrow is another day.
CHAO.

The Return of the Missile
Mis Amigos, I will be writing this Blog to keep you up to date as I start my return to professional racing. I would like to shout out a "Gracias" to all my sponsors, MRI, Franco Bikes, Win's Wheels, Louis Garneau and Mad Fiber Wheels.
I few weeks ago I buckled down my Louis Garneau cycling shoes as I toed the line at the Brentwood Gran Prix. From the gun the attacks were left and right with Pista Palace establishing the break. I did the best I could pushing power through my Franco frame as I felt as though no teams wanted to help chase. Fast forward a bit and the break had reestablished with Eric Marcotte of Pista Palace (the eventual winner) and 2 Cash Call riders holding on for the podium.
No worries with results as it only reenforces my desire to train and return to form. The Missile is in the process of going ballistic once again. Next stop....San Clemente!
